Experience
Silver Kayondo is a Ugandan and South African dual-trained lawyer and social entrepreneur. He advises on cross-border matters across East Africa in key sectors such as technology & internet; space & aviation; financial services & private wealth; fast moving consumer goods; food & agriculture; tourism & hospitality; pharmaceuticals & healthcare; transport & logistics; energy and renewables.
His clients include internet service providers, venture capital and private equity funds, family offices, high-net worth individuals, franchises, regulatory bodies, social impact entities, and philanthropists. He has experience in foreign direct investment (FDI) structuring, mergers, acquisitions, market entry and expansion strategies, digital transformation mandates, licensing, joint ventures and strategic partnerships.
Silver has travel and representative experience across Africa, Europe, USA, and further afoot in onshore and offshore UAE, including the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). He has previously done secondment at global law firm White & Case under the auspices of the International Lawyers for Africa (ILFA).

- Advised a social media giant on live broadcasts of election content and live campaigns in the 2022 presidential elections in Uganda.
- Advised a global digital ride-hailing company on its ride hailing business in Uganda for both cars and motorcycle taxis (boda-bodas)
- Advised a global digital ride-hailing company on its business strategy and compliance in Ugandan operations for on-boarding taxi drivers as independent contractors on their platform.
