Emmanuel Tumuhaise

Emmanuel is a Senior Associate in the Corporate & Financial Advisory practice; as well as the Tax practice with over 7 years of experience. Emmanuel is directly involved in advising clients
in complex projects and project finance transactions, public-private partnerships, and energy. He conducts and manages due diligence exercises, drafts and negotiates key transaction documents, managing disclosure exercises, prepares merger control applications and post-acquisition advisory.

He also has proven extensive experience in financial advisory on acquisitions, project and asset finance and has previously advised corporations, financial sponsors and financial institutions across a wide spectrum of domestic and cross-border secured and unsecured lending in multilple sectors.

Emmanuel is a registered tax agent and has provided practical advisory services to multinational and local companies on how to manage the impact of tax laws and regulations on their operations.

Emmanuel has great relationships with the Ugandan Tax Authority and has led discussions in respect of lingering tax review and investigation issues. He also facilitates tax training programs for clients and tax practitioners.

Emmanuel has previously worked with a leading big 4 audit and accounting firm where he was responsible for handling and advising the firm’s clients on their legal, domestic and international tax concerns.
