Experience
Amos is a Senior Associate at Ortus Advocates in the dispute resolution department and represents clients in Courts of law and Arbitral Tribunals. Amos has broad experience in commercial legal practice, litigation, and dispute resolution, focusing on financial institutions law, company law, land transactions/mortgage laws, debt collection, and Arbitration. Amos provides clients with the most practical and commercially viable legal solutions.
Amos is an advocate of the High Court of Uganda and all Courts Subordinate thereto, a member of the Uganda Law Society since 2016, and the East African Law Society. Amos has also attended several relevant pieces of training to enhance his skills and experience, including;

Selected Experience
- Represented one of the leading Human Rights NGOs in Uganda in complex Arbitration proceedings, where the NGO claimed unfair treatment by the funder, and claimed compensation of UGX 7,000,000,000 (Uganda Shillings Seven Billion Shillings only). The Arbitration process was a complex one in which the NGO had to lead cogent evidence, to prove the loss of UGX 7,000,000,000.
- Advised and represented a security firm in a complex case of negligence where the Plaintiff claimed over UGX 600,000,000 in damages and also sought to nullify the limitation clauses in a service-level agreement.
- Advised and helped an International Couriers Company recover USD 100,000 by offering debt collection services.
